Ring of Honor TV 11/5 Review

Tonight, the challenger for Davey Richards’ World Championship will be revealed. Also, we find out if Cedric Alexander and Caprice Coleman can hang with Wrestling’s Greatest Tag Team. We are slowly approaching Final Battle, and Ring of Honor looks to be building towards quite a show. There are also advancements in the Kevin Steen v Ring of Honor storyline. Another exciting show from ROH, so let’s get to it. This is the review for Ring of … Read entire article »

FCW 10/30 Review

Another week brings us another episode of FCW. I look forward to this show. Hopefully, it’s something that makes it onto the WWE Network, since everyone deserves the opportunity to watch without resorting to YouTube (not that there’s anything wrong with Youtube). This week’s show was heavy on promo videos for the Ascension. Instead of pointing each of them out individually (there are really only two videos), I’m going to state that there were five … Read entire article »

Ring of Honor TV 10/29 Review

We get three matches this week, which is a change from every other show so far that ROH has had. They have had two matches on all the other shows, and I was really growing tired of this same format every week. In the main event tonight, The Briscoe Brothers face The All Night Express, but the opening bout really stole the show. SPOILERS FOLLOW Nigel and Kevin Kelly open up the show discussing the main … Read entire article »

FCW 10/23 Review

FCW has a formula that I prefer to the WWE, in that there’s more of a focus on matches, and on spreading the wealth. You don’t see the same handful of guys taking up the majority of every single show. They actually use their depth. Sure, I’ve only been watching for a few weeks, but I’ve seen an assortment of talent during that time. My only regret is that I didn’t start watching a long … Read entire article »

This was not one of ROH’s strongest shows to date, but it was still an entertaining episode. There was too much talking for my liking. Anyways, we get to see the debut of T.J. Perkins and more importantly, we settle the number one contender controversy. In the main event, Jay Lethal puts his TV Championship up for grabs against “The Prodigy” Mike Bennett. This is the first show where ROH is starting to plug the …

Ring of Honor TV 10/8 & 10/15 Review

Ring of Honor does not have the most compelling way of doing a television show, but they have not disappointed in any of their main events. Davey Richards versus Roderick Strong is even better than last week’s match between Jay Lethal and El Generico. I am just already tired of the format that they are using. It seems that in between matches we are always going to have the “Inside ROH” and “Focus On” segments. … Read entire article »

The first episode of ROH TV featured tag team wrestling. In this show, Ring of Honor focuses on singles competition. We get to see “The Prodigy” Mike Bennett take on Jimmy Jacobs in a very competitive match. Then, the main event between El Generico and Jay Lethal is wrestling at its finest. Sure, the show can tend to move slowly at times due to, surprisingly, a lot of talking. There is no debate when the …

Ring of Honor did everything they could not to make a statement on their first episode. They could have gone out and held an hour long match, and it would have been more interesting than what actually transpired. At least people would have been talking about what happened. There was nothing noteworthy on this initial episode. If anything it felt like an infomercial for their DVD’s with all the recaps and adverts concerning them. This …

While being aware and catching glimpses of ROH for years, I had never truly started to follow it until about a year ago. From what I understand, based on things I’ve heard and seen, ROH had its own “dark time” like any other company. Right now, ROH seems to have one of the best rosters they’ve had in a while, with a lot of great booking setting up well-built storylines. Tonight, some people will …

According to Claudio Castagnoli’s Twitter account, he’s now Antonio Cesaro of Florida Championship Wrestling. There have been tons of rumblings about The Kings of Wrestling (Claudio & Chris Hero) being signed by the WWE over the past few months, but now it seems to be official. No idea how long Claudio/Antonio will be in the FCW, or when Chris Hero will be showing up to back up his partner, but the wheels are in motion. …
